What other requirements are needed to operate the I Love Velvet hardware?

WiFi and/or CDMA, 3G, or 4G Connection

You must have internet connectivity (utilizing either Wi-Fi or a data plan from your mobile device service provider) for your I Love Velvet devices and to access the Velvet Cloud back-office.

Hardware

You must also purchase the Apple iDevice or the SAMSUNG Galaxy S™ 4you intend to use with the I Love Velvet hardware.

What’s the difference between Velvet Store and Velvet Central?

Velvet Store

Is the iOS application that would be installed on your iDevice and will talk to the Velvet Central backend. For more information please follow this link to theVelvet Store page.

Velvet Cloud

Is the backend application that will allow you to manage your retail store. For more information please follow this link to the Velvet Cloud page.

How long does it take to setup I Love Velvet’s mobile point-of-sale solution?

Each implementation is different but normally a full implementation of a hosted Velvet Suite take about two weeks.

Why is the company called I Love Velvet?

One of our founders has a cousin that works at a very prestigious jeweler who polled the top 10% highest spending customers. They were asked to describe their shopping experience at the jewelers in one word. And the one word everyone had in common was the word “Velvet”…

Apparently the VIP room in the jewelers showroom had a large velvet chair where all the VIP customers would sit…

When the customers were asked “Why velvet” they all simply answered “I Love Velvet”…
